After years of construction and then some negotiations, the City of Cambridge in 2010 made available the new "Huron Ave" dance hall at the West Cambridge Youth Center to Swing City. This location, at the site of the former VFW, was the home of Swing City and other dances for many years. Starting in June, 2010, Swing City has been in this new building at the same address. Check our calendar for the exact schedule and band lineup.

$16-$18 at the door. $4 off with valid student ID. No advance purchase necessary.
Parking:
Free parking at the Fresh Pond golf course lot across the street and on local streets (observe parking street signs). Please respect the neighborhood and limit noise late at night so that we may return regularly.
Public Transportation:

Alcohol Policy:
City of Cambridge law forbids any alcohol in the building. Please do not bring any with you into the building. A selection of juice/soda/water and snacks are available.
About the West Cambridge Youth Center/Huron Ave
This venue is located at the site of Swing City's home for over ten years, until it was demolished in about 2006 to make room for the beautiful new West Cambridge Youth Center. The Youth Center is a fantastically architected building housing a variety of facilities, and in particular a large sprung wood floor dance hall with stage, designed for the dance groups that formerly occupied the space.
